Drew Gooden was a 4th overall selection by the Memphis Grizzlies in the
2002 NBA Draft. He played in 51 games for the Grizzlies before being
traded with Gordan Giricek to the Orlando Magic for Mike Miller, Ryan
Humphrey and future draft picks.
In 79 games with Orlando and Memphis, Gooden averaged 12.5 points, .5
blocks, and 6.5 rebounds per game.
In Gooden's second year of NBA play, he averaged 11.6 points, .91 blocks,
and 6.5 rebounds per contest.
He had 12 double-doubles last year with Orlando. Gooden was named to
the All-Rookie First Team.
